Meeting Brief

The National Association for Cancer Awareness with the support of the Ministry of Health of Oman will be organizing, in Partnership with the Middle East Cancer Consortium (MECC) and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) a 4-day Palliative Care advance course for community and hospital nurses and physicians    in Muscat Sultanate of Oman. The above course will be followed by a one-day workshop in Research in Cancer sponsored by The Research Council (TRC) of Oman and in partnership with the National Institute of Health (NCI/NIH). Immediately after the workshop a 4-day International conference will be conducted sponsored by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

We are glad to invite you all to the 9 days of capacity building, knowledge sharing and transfer and networking in the beautiful settings of the Grand Hyatt in Muscat at the peak of our excellent weather.

Who will attend?

This meeting aims to bring key opinion leaders from the Oncologists, rehabilitation, public health, patient organizations, NGO’s, journal editors, alternative care specialists and other relevant backgrounds to consider and make recommendations of how to improve the provision and outcomes of holistic care of Cancer patients at different stages of the disease.

Key opinion leaders from the MENA region working together with their global counterparts to consider and agree how to work together nationally and regionally to advance the priority for management of cancer in the region and to make cancer a strategic issue, with the potential to form a cancer Regional Forum.
